These are the best quality pics I have at this moment. But, I didn't include reverse pics because it didn't have anything out of the ordinary. My two inquiries...

1.) The doubling on LIB in liberty, faintly(little to none) on the date, and the base of the bust of Lincoln?

2.) What in the world is going on in front of his face on the right side of the coin?

LIB looks like DDD. Front of face looks like staining?

to the CCF Maybe a little Machine Doubling on the I and staining on the whole coin.

How does Machine Doubling occur on only on the LIB? Wouldn't it have doubling on other parts of the obverse, being that planchet shifted? Thanks for the input.

Machine Doubling can effect any device from a single letter or number to all the devices.
