Mule Error This is a rare Mint error where the obverse die is of one coin and the reverse die is of another coin.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

As Hondo mentioned this is not a mule error which you can read more about here in this link https://www.PCGS.com/news/mule-mint...s-the-rarest If there is something else you are seeing but calling it the wrong name please point out what you are wishing to know more about.

Hey, are you guys zooming in on the picture a little bit the half picture it's very clear on the left side that it's another type of coin and it is not an off or a wrong edge. You can actually see the lettering starting zoom in.

As stated, a mule is a coin struck with mismatched dies, like a Washington quarter obverse and a Sacagawea reverse. What you are seeing is a coin struck from a worn die, Ridge Ring and distortion in the tops of the letters.

The incuse anomalies over UN (UNITED) seem to be an effect of metal flow or lack of it between the letters and the rim. We see this happen sometimes. The metal expands from the center towards the rim until it meets the collar die. Occasionally, the "volume" of the letters of the motto on the die will interfere with metal from flowing past them. The coins are produced so quickly now it doesn't take much to affect metal flow.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Instead of making us zoom in and search out what you are seeing (something I cannot do on my desktop computer), How about you zoom in on the areas you think are of interest to you and post it here? From What I see (without zooming) is a normal cent struck by a worn die. ( Ridge Ring is my first clue there). The 'letters' you see are created by the worn die, We call that die trails. Also noted on the fields is radial flow lines.
