There are diagnostics to distinguish a real clip (error) from one that occurred after striking (damaged coin) - I'm not an expert on that topic so I'll ask one of the moderators to move your post to a more appropriate forum where it can receive expert attention. I have a shear at work that can make any amount of these you want. With a real straight clip, the letters would be falling off the edge, these are just cut.
