1909P Lincoln Cent DDR-006 (Late Stage A/Early B)
VV- (DDR-06) http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20...9PDDR006.htm

DD- (WDDR-02) http://doubleddie.com/287322.html

I like picking the '09 DDR's but not attributing them. Quite a few don't seem to have much in the way of obvious markers. And Copper Coins doesn't have many that cross to VV or DD so it's usually a matter of checking through many listings.

The key pick-up die marker on this one for me was the small die gouge in the upper A (STATES).
There is no die crack in the middle of the right wheat grains to the rim on this coin which would be stage B on VV.

This one has an obvious die crack over the modern "VDB" area of the bust but the VV images are dark and hard to see.
This coin seems to fall between stage A and B).

My coin has a very light die scratch between the IB (LIBERTY) instead of the "die gouge" shown in VV images.

Enjoy.
ps. One thing I almost forgot is that VV has this listed as a class 6 doubled die but the separation on the left wheat tip tells me it also has class 2 doubling.

EDIT: I corrected the info concerning the location of the die crack on the bust. Changed it to "modern VDB area on the bust".

With that analysis I could not agree more. Some nice DDRs on that year, but hard to impossible to match many of them. And now with the addition of 8 new class III dies on VV recently it gets even more complicated as they all look alike (master die anyone?). I had one nice one that I couldn't match and just sent it in with some other dies I couldn't figure out to Dr. Wiles a few years ago, and now it's DDR-003. Are there just more that aren't listed or just not enough markers shown on the ones that are listed to figure them out? Probably both are true.

The die scratch in the A as a marker for die 6 seems a bit questionable, as I've seen it in a lot of DDRs for that year and either die 6 is really the common one, or it's a master die marker and on many coins. I don't see many non-DDR coins to compare and see if it ever shows up on a normal coin to verify that one way or the other.

Another nice pick, you did well! You might be able to get a pre-cud listing out of that one too.

Hey everyone, I looked at as much as I can with the photos given but am on the fence with this one on VV due to the fact It appears that the Interpunt between the "E" & "P" of EPU does not have the characteristic Oval shape as seen on the one listed at VV ,
at Wexler`s it is not shown or mentioned ...so WDDR-02 stage A/B
I tweaked your Reverse photo.

Thanks for all the great comments and help on this one.

I'm going to have to look at this one again.
I'm seeing things that you guys have brought up that does make me question my original attribution.
-The die gouge at the top of the A (STATES).
-The "dots" die gouge between the IB (LIBERTY)
-The die crack under the bust might be off

There are some additional die dots over the second U (UNUM) that appear to be present on both but that could be coincidental.

And thanks DT for the terminology for the "dot".
("Interpunt" sounds like it should be a football term. LOL)

EDIT: I see I spelled "Interpunct" wrong. Imagine that. LOL

@Petespockets55
Hey you`re welcome Pete..hey there is my Oval "Interpunct" I go right to the EPU "DOTS" when scanning pennies for the possibility of a DDR, so with you having this and other things this is for sure a winner that just needs the Attribute # Great Find
