Looks pretty normal to me. I am just seeing damage to the surface.
Errers and Varietys.

@bid, I see what you are talking about with that grid pattern near the date and Abe's cheek. However, it looks to me more like surface staining.

Quote: Translation: Obverse side deficient plating It looks like a reptile skin. But what it actually is not a finger print, but rather the print from human skin.

Translation: I observed that the Zn oxide come out at the surface. So IMHO, under the plated Cu the very tinny lines from the rolling of the Zn start to oxide and made those curious lines we see.

Put coin in cup holder, lay cloth over coin, pour soda on cloth, wait several days when soda drys up, pull coin out and bingo.

@ oddguy Are you sure what you say. Soda it is CO2.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) react with the Zinc and will produce Zinc oxide and Zinc carbonate. Both undesirable on the coins.
What folklore LOL.

I will not engage to rude people, we all have opinions some say stains, some say skin, some say damage. But for some reason you pick on my opinion and use your ego personality to degrade me. Why? Does it make you feel superior?

ODDGUY, you are wrong. I do not degrade you in any way. It is just given a suggestion to someone must be tested short, medium and long term. I believe you read or see on some video such folklore way to clean the Cu. The expression "feel superior" was never employed before this new wave of what they call "supremacy". Sorry, on this you are wrong. No one is superior to others. All we have same degree of intelligence, the difference consist in the degree of the specialties level and also on the degree of general culture. Is no superiority it is just equality.
Ask my employees. I am the Boss? yes. Superior No but more obligations Yes. I am friend with all, do I ask best quality possible? Yes, do I ask the minimum variation of the performances? Yes, the rest it is friendship.

After reviewing this anomaly more than once. The pattern seems more consistent, than random. Unable to accurately deduce a specific medium, enzyme or catalyst other than a tissue. Pending further investigation I currently conclude it was altered after strike. Thanks, Doug.
