Thanks Errers and Varietys. The Jenny could be stronger on the obverse but I'm happy with it

I saw once at one show. Yes to see physically it is but to have is the challenge. I do not dream on .

Me either. This coin is as close as I'm going to get to the real deal. I'm not much of a replica person but in this case it'll do just fine

Will be nice set, I have all the coins and stamps of Washington 1932 to 1964 on first day cover and the coin inside you can see. I like those sets coins and stamps.

Thanks silviosi. I think it'll be a nice pairing. Can you post a pic of the first day cover set. Not sure if I've seen that before

What a massive clash! Nice and deep too. I did an additional Clash Overlay in Photoshop as some of the clash marks on this coin are outside of the overlay that RW1010 posted. Click on the picture for a larger image

Thanks a lot for the new overlay Yokozuna. The clash on the obverse by the ear is just about as strong as the reverse. Not as noticable at first glance but very strong also

They did reissue the inverted Jenny stamp in 2013 so I don't have to use a replica. I decided against putting it in the slab. I don't think it'll work so I'll probably use a presentation case of some sort

I don't know who makes stamps maybe the bureau of engraving and printing? Has to be a first recreation of one of their errors I would think. That opens the door for a legit recreation of any major error on coins also right? What would be the coin equivalent? 1909 S VDB 1955 DDO 1969 DDO? Or maybe the Sacagawea mule die clash? So many big ones out there

A 1943 S-2023 S bronze Lincoln would have been nice for this year. And a steel version for next year. 80th anniversary

It just occured to me - why are you calling this an "inverted jenny"?

The die clash of the plane is inverted in relation to the normally oriented obverse

When the obverse is inverted the plane appears right side up for easier identification
