I have two questions for this beautiful coin. First, I am considering getting this and two other cents graded with same year and date. All three are in great condition. Thoughts on that?
Second, the coin in post seems to have a possible die crack? Running from left to right of #1 on date.
Also, a very fine line above ear across temple. Both of these cracks/lines are raised from surface so I am sure they are not scratches.
On one of the coins the line above ear is very faint and there is no line thru date.
3rd coin has neither marks.
Your thoughts please

@kko, for sure that is a die crack on Abe's head--you have a so-called "cracked skull" here. As to the linear mark from Abe to the first digit of the date, I am less sure that it is a crack. It wouldn't enhance the value of this coin though.

RIDB is a "retained interior die break", here is a link. RIDB http://cuds-on-coins.com/lincoln-ce...r-die-break/

As for the "line" you see at the date, that is the remnants of a die clash. Here is a link for those. Mad Die Clashes http://www.maddieclashes.com/one-cent-overlays/

Its a nice coin good color and die crack, grading can give your coin more value but whats someone willing to pay is it more than the cost of grading I'm not sure is it worth it
