In looking at the S mint marks on Mercury dimes, particularly 1941-1945, I can see a lot of different shapes. Normally I use the Variety Vista reference for mint marks, but it seems incomplete for silver dimes. My Google-fu has failed to turn up another comprehensive reference for mint marks used on 20th century American coins. Anyone have a good resource?

Thanks, John. That's the penny reference, but it made me realize that VV has a mint mark reference on each denomination book. Apparently it's not the same as the main reference that lists all years and denominations. The Mercury dime S mint mark reference:

After comparing, I think they are both 1943-S MM-005 straight serifs. Although they might be smeared a bit into slightly different shapes.

It could be the same MM design or font, but different MM punches that wore out differently as they were used.
