Impossible to tell if your Lincoln is a DDO until you provide a photo of the obverse of the coin.

This coin has master die doubling, this eliminates all doubled dies but some of the doubled 2's, so if you can get us a clear, closeup of the date that would be all we need.

Not seeing the DDO either yet, but it is a very nice MAD strike.

CuJohn, all you have to look at is the B and R of LIBERTY, they are sloped, very easy to see and a dead giveaway for master die doubling. I have stated this multiple times but no one pays attention....

I have stated this multiple times but no one pays attention.... I believe this (B and R slope) was identified as part of the Master Die Doubling decades ago. Has never been described as an end-all to other varieties. To rule out all or partial Doubled Dies, because it exhibits MDD, seems misleading. Recommend everyone do there own research/homework. https://doubleddie.com/300201.htmlhttps://doubleddie.com/384301.htmlMore food for thought. The Master Doubled Die is present along side several re-punched mint marks. I think I'll continue to use it as a potential PUP, as oppose to a deal breaker. Thanks, Doug.

Doug, I paid little attention to the last time you brought this up, because I could tell you would probably not listen. Both times you have brought this to my attention, the OP was calling out one of the major doubled dies, which the master doubling does eliminate. I tend to forget the doubled 2's, which are the only other ones. The reason I do forget, I have been taught, by folks much sharper than me, that they are more likely re-engraved and not actually doubled dies at all, as is so thought, the master doubling. As long as they are listed as such by these highly recognized coin specialists, they will continue to be doubled dies though. Time will tell, as more studies are done and as we all know, things change in the world of numismatics. Sometimes what we thought we always knew, is not. Thanks. Jon.
