I live in Iowa and I found this in a 1800 country schoolyard. Can someone help me identify what it is?

WoundTight, this will be a tough one to identify. A quick search on tokencatalog.com did not turn up anything. However, if you spend some time there you might be able to find it.

I think this is vintage (mid-20th century?) play money for children.

Hi -- I remembered pieces like this had been posted on the Treasurenet site so I went and found the old post and copied the image from there. However, I was able to locate the sourcebook online - it is by Clotheir "Play Money of American Children." Page 18 is the reference.
