MHO I see rim damage to the right of the 3 in the date most likely displaced metal from rim or die chip all post mint damage but let's see what others think

Hi WOW. That is unique. Must be some metal / grease strike through and just looks like a bug. Never came across any thing that looks like a bug before.

I see a frogs leg or turtles head or rattle snakes tail or many other things but I think it is just a hit mark or gunk on coin.

Looks like a bee to me. But in reality an insect would
not leave a mark when a coin was being pressed.

If a bug got on a planchet or on the die, and then the coin was struck, no impression of the bug would be made. It would be squashed flat.

If you look close you can clearly see a small bug must've been speared mid flight from below, it must've crash landed on the coin just as it was struck and was squashed. The remaining organic matter ate away the zinc leaving the image. Of course we could speculate forever on what the conflict was over. I'd keep it
