Odd Coloring On My 1998 Nickel - Coin Community Forum

NShuler New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 07/17/2023 11:29 pm This Nickel has been in a box since 1998. Can anyone educate me on why the coloring is like this? It has never had any chemicals/cleaners applied to it. It has a weight of 5 grams. Should I send this one to be graded? Report this Post to the Staff

Second, I agree with @e&v that this coin had some sort of environment or chemical exposure (obviously before it cam into your hands) and is just worth face value.
