@zero, this Wheat cent is worn enough that it might be impossible to get a date. Based on these pics, I think the third digit might be a number 3.

Copious amount of post strike damage--extreme circulation wear and likely exposure to a corrosive environment. A Wheat cent, with a possible 193x date, San Francisco mint. An accurate weight--to two decimal places--should show a reduced weight.

well, it's not a 1934 since that year's 3 digit was shaped differently

the real question is whether that's a 1931-S, which is a key date

I'd keep it in my folder's 1931-S slot until I had a better one with a clear date
