Any die chip between the B and E is usually considered a BIE, regardless of the size or shape.

Actually, I've heard the term BIE used for a die chip between any of the letters in Liberty.

A "BIE" is a die break "chip" between the letters of LIBERTY on a Lincoln Cent. Most are becoming familiar with the 'BIE' variety to look for, but actually it depends on the location of the die break in the word liberty on the cent obverse as not all are found just between the B and E of liberty so PLENTY out there to look for.

Here is a reference list for you and others to help identify them and to see if one exists already.

Thanks, CuJohn

If you look at the image below from the first link I posted, you will notice that the 'BIE' is between the B and E of liberty (II-F-4) but it can be elsewhere in liberty and thats why there are so many of these out there which is great both for collecting and actually even can be sold if desired despite being easy to find if you look regularly so its a great beginner level find for anyone to start looking.
