I wanted to post this because I was finally able to get a bottle of verdicare after years of it being sold out online, and one of the first things I did was to use it on my rarest coin, a 1996 FS-101 that was an absolute heartbreaker covered in verdigris. I've heard the refrain for years that verdicare isn't a miracle cure, but I have to say, having now had the chance to use it for myself, it's not NOT a miracle cure either. I am absolutely stunned by how downright acceptable this coin looks in hand after applying a drop of verdicare to each side for a couple hours and lightly rinsing in acetone. Obviously there are things it can't do (it's never going to be possible to fix the small exposed zinc patches, and areas where the patina had already been stripped by environmental damage can't have their mint luster restored), but within reason, this stuff seriously exceeded all expectations I had for it and turned a coin that hurt me inside every time I looked at it into a coin that looks perfectly nice in hand, even if it will never be able to straight grade (and did all of this without harming any of the mint luster - in fact, it even enhanced what was already visible, and managed to rescue a surprising amount that hadn't been destroyed by the verdigris!) Below are pictures of the coin before and after (unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the full coin pre-verdicare in my original post, but I think you can see how extensive the damage was just from the shots under my scope).

Nice results. I know it's brought back a few of my coins from the brink.
