Not sure if error technically but looks likes a black tie die, almost snake like line through the coin, but no damage to lettering and looks naturally flowing through the lettering as if it were pre printing. Just curious what this is or just PMD?

It's not paint, I'd hope anyone is smart enough to know if there is paint on a coin haha. It's definitely in the coin

Appears to be a stain picked up in circulation. The coin didn't leave the striking chamber in that condition.

Looks cool and I wish it was in the copper but it is just a stain.

The dark spot is interesting, but the (large) date and mint mark, draws my attention more. Thanks, Doug.

I see what you're seeing, it doesn't appear to be an average stain it looks like it has raised edges or is an imprint you can see light reflecting off the edge. I don't know what it is but just want to let the poster know I see that it could look like the metals didn't properly mix like a can of paint that wasn't shaken enough. Lol I know it can be frustrating when nobody seems to see. That being said I have no clue.

Maybe a chemical etched the surface of the coin. To me it looks like staining.
