Monday/Friday coin!
If graded on Monday it's a 64; if graded on Friday it's a 65!
Very nice no matter what it graded!

Nice coin, I say MS64. What imperfections are you speaking about in your topic title?

Looks to be a 64 thought a 65 grade would not surprise me. Surface marks seem very light.

The imperfections I see -- apparently heavily weighted by PCGS: * Deep dig on the neck. * A shallow but pretty large gash in the west field on the reverse. * Light but widespread chatter in all the fields. Still, it is by far the best MS 63 Morgan I've ever seen.

pristine2. gotta give ccf time to chime in my friend. here was my take on it
the strike is a little weak for a 91S. typically you'll see sharp bold strikes on these. this one has weakness around the ear and breast where the feathers are not fully defined. a few nicks from hitting other coins most likely. I can only call what I see in the photos and I'm seeing broken luster across the cheek and jaw line. reverse has a few field marks and scuffs and it appears that some of the luster is gone on either side of the eagle wings
because of the luster break on the obv I cant give it 64. I'm at MS63

I was at 64 before I saw any replies. Still at 64, but only just by the skin of its teeth. Not terribly undergraded at least.

Good analysis Panz. I hadn't realized that 91s's were typically strong strikes. Still, in hand it is a very striking coin, with a great subtle tone pattern and plenty of glisten. I've never had an MS63 quite as nice as this.
