This doesn't release affect me anymore as I am retired, but.....new mint releases are usually (maybe always) released at 12 p.m. Eastern Time. That's great if you're a working stiff in the Eastern Time Zone, but anywhere else you're either missing out, or trying to make your purchase when you're supposed to be working. Maybe I'm the only one. Anyone else annoyed by this? Maybe they could rotate the release times between the time zones, or do it on the weekend?

A legitimately possible idea, but when running any business it is impossible to please everyone. I can imagine the people doing the jobs when the mint's phone lines get flooded with calls would think it unfair they had to alter their own lives if this was implemented.

But since the mint, for no reason except greed, doubled proof ASE prices just a couple of years ago it soured me to collecting that series. I won't send a penny to them again. If I can start to look at my ASEs again without being reminded of their greed, I still will buy the ASEs from collectors and not the mint.

I wish everything had a subscription option. It certainly reduces my stress levels. So far the only thing I am buying this year that does not offer a subscription is the silver Liberty medal that comes out in two weeks.
