I'm going to add two Washington quarter here with two different dates as I believe the same thing is happening to both coins, if you think its not the same please give me your opinion of the first one and I'm going to place a new topic for the second one.

I found the 1996 first and I thought that is lamination, but then I found the second one 1982 and now I dont know what it is. Is that an error or just intentional damaged? As always Thank youu for your help!!

*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

Nice! These are struck through a Rim Burr (or Blanking Burr) with the 1996 being a Retained Rim Burr.

I really like this error!

Hey that one is pretty cool and definitely worth saving in a 2x2.

Thank you @Spence!!

I want to apologize, I did not included the date in the title because I was going to include two coins with different date in the same post, but now I know I have to do it for my next two coin post ... Thank you!!!

Unusual, but yes.

https://www.error-ref.com/?s=Lamination

Quote:
Because copper-nickel clad layers are already very thin, it is quite unusual for lamination errors to develop within a clad layer.  Yet such errors do occur.  They can be distinguished from "partial clad" errors because the copper core is not exposed in a lamination error.

Struck through a rim burr. The burr is lifting up from the recess it created.
