Could this be a Retained Interior Die Break next to a reverse A and E?

It is raised and unlike the MD previously posted. Or just another MD?

Also, I read the other posts re feeder finger marks. However, the obverse scratch like marks shown here, they are located exactly where obverse clashing occurs behind the ear and along the hair ponytail. I was considering die polishing marks.

Your thoughts appreciated.

I suspect that is a die chip to the left of the letter E and maybe a die scratch coming down off of the letter N.

Dearborn - I don't disagree with Feeder Finger Damage, it's just that the location you circled and where the anomaly damage is, is coincidentally the same spots where clashes are found on some of the Edith's.

Trying to imagine that line of reasoning through, wouldn't the mint polish those areas on the die? and subsequent die use might result in what we see here, if the polishing was not smoothly done?

Or should I just let this go and call it a day and feeder damage?

Thanks

The only reason I'm went with FFD is because the marks are all in the same direction, at about 45 degrees from vertical, and are all perpendicular. Hand polishing would not be that 'accurate' in my opinion.
