I'd guess market-acceptable today.

EF40 sharpness, cleaned; probably the obverse was wiped at some point -- the reverse appears more natural. It might straight grade.
Some issue on the reverse below the right wreath bow ribbon where the denticles have been damaged.

I too believe it had an old cleaning in which it retoned, but I feel as if it will straight grade a nice XF45 to my eyes

Is your question about keeping it as a type coin? Then sure, it's a good looking example, but a TPG would probably say details.

This was one I liked for details and the price was right for me. I think I'll hang onto it. Appreciate all the comments.

I'm at XF40 also. looks like the coin was wiped at some point. if cleaned it was a long time ago. most likely would end up in a details holder due to that right obv field but there is a chance it would go straight

I'm in very lowball. Even at EF40 I'm in pretty good shape. Details is a crap shoot. Coin flip to decide whether to send it to TPG.

Even at straight-graded EF-45, best you could hope for, it is not worth the cost of submission.

I think this one will straight grade. Not worth sending in for slabbing though. EF-45.

I like it and I think the lighting makes it look worse than it probably is in hand.

Coinfrog is right - not worth TPG. I liked it and I'm a sucker for those Civil War era coins. (Yes, I know Beauregard didn't fire on Ft. Sumter until April 12, 1861, but the die was cast in 1860).
