I came by this medal a few years ago, but cannot identify it. It looks like Dr. Sun Yat Sen, but I can't be sure. The medal weighs 26.7 grams, and is 40 centimeters in width. It seems to be silver that has a gold plating, and is struck in proof. The edge of the coin is toning red and blue. I think it is high grade silver struck as a commemorative, but after researching the dates I can find nothing. Many things happened on and within these dates, so it has to be a specific event. Has anyone actually seen this medal before? Can anyone read the Chinese writing? Please help me with this medal.

I tried 6 times to post the other side. Each time I saw the picture identified, but when I tried to upload it said you failed to pick any photo. I have submitted many photos over 3 years, but that had never happened. The other side simply shows a memorial obelisk with Chinese writing on one side. Thanks for looking, Spence. and let me know what you think. Also can I add another photo now that it has been submitted?

Ok weird I'm sorry that you are struggling to add a new picture. Hopefully you get the issue ironed out as it would be nice to see that other side.

This appears to be commemorating the 90th anniversary of the end of Imperial China.

Yes, the Chinese inscription makes it plain that this is a commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the overthrow of the Ch'ing Dynasty. Also, implicitly, because it doesn't say anything about "foundation of the Republic of China", and is read from left to right, you can tell it comes from the PRC, not Taiwan.
