These are fun to come across.
The weight of 2.5 grams indicates it is a copper plated zinc planchet and the rull rim tells us it is a type 2 planchet, meaning it has the protorim on it.

A zinc core, copper plated planchet like that is worth around $1-2, according to the Internet. Apparently there are lots of cent planchets out there, because the U.S. Mint will give them to Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who complete the Coin Collecting merit badge.

A fun find and worth saving in a 2x2 for safekeeping. Well done!

This rim isn't really full, as it hasn't been die struck. This is the 'proto-rim' developed when the blanks are processed through the Upset Mill. The Type I becomes a Type II once the upset has been added to the edge. The proto-rim helps develop the full strike details formation during the minting process.

Coins struck in error on a type I blank are known, but very rare.

yep, an unstruck planchet - a type 2 (a blank that had been sent through the upsetting mill and created the 'proto rim')
