I have RAM bags and also security bags, is it worth getting them put into a Cotton & Co roll?
Keeping in the airtight bags or getting them rolled and put in a coin tube?

I'd leave them in the sachets unless you are going to examine them for errors. If you are selling them at least the buyer can see that the coins are ALL uncirculated, unlike a roll.

Cotton & Co will only roll uncirculated coins MMM. So every Cotton & Co roll is guaranteed to be all uncirculated and they are put in a Head/Tail formation.

After reading Sally G s' unfortunate situation regarding the Cotton and Co roll she bought I am afraid to look at my rolls. I will not be opening them . Most were bought straight from Imperial Coins so they will be Genuine.
I will take your advice MMM and keep all coins in the bags rather than get them rolled. If rolls can be opened without being obvious from the end, what use is the so called 'Tamper Proof Seal'?

Yes, the rolls can be opened from the ends and if done carefully can be done so without causing damage and can then be refilled and sealed up again. I found out the hard way. I tried it on a security roll from the bank and did not have much trouble on my first attempt. With a bit of practice and maybe using a suitable tool, a person could produce a dodgy roll that looks as though it has not been tampered with.

Imperial coins will roll uncirculated coins so we can be confident that a roll bought DIRECTLY from them will contain uncirculated coins and be the genuine article. There is no guarantee that a Cotton and Co roll bought from an individual will be the real deal. I think that once a few more people open their rolls bought on ebay and find they have been ripped off that 'second hand' rolls will loose their appeal and value.

The tamper-proof seals can only stop people unwrapping the whole wrapper and wrapping it up again. Obviously does not stop anyone opening a roll from the end, removing and replacing coins and sealing it up again. The numbers on the seals mean nothing. Imperial don't keep any records of them (according to the employee I spoke to). Now that the scam has been exposed I wonder if Imperial will make any changes to the way they wrap and seal rolls?

If you are only wanting to take coins from a bag and have them rolled for long term storage it might be just as easy and cheaper to roll them in an old coin roll and seal that in one of the plastic 'guardhouse' rolls instead?

I can't see any value in having coins rolled by Imperial for re-sale anymore. I certainly won't be buying rolls from anyone other than Imperial or a trusted and reputable dealer. Stay safe everyone.

I'd have thought the Royal Australian Mint collector rolls would be the safest to purchase through the dealer network at time of issue. Mind you, the five coin sachets from the RAM many find collectable.

Imperial Coin rolls are a poor persons RAM collector roll.
If you can snag a RAM roll on release day ,you are much better off.

But if all rolls can be tampered with , the clear RAM bags are a better option?
The bags though are not for sale on RAM website, so some collectors are limited in their choice of preference.
Some bags of coins are available from banks also ,but most of us might be hard pressed to access them.
Coin swaps and EXPO's will be where these are I guess, I am not in a place where they visit.
A recent look at sales of KC111 rolls has Cotton and Co rolls fetching more than RAM rolls.

This seller is selling re-rolled circulated coins.

At least they are honest about the coins.

As you are aware crab eater, it is very easy to unroll a roll of coins so that the wrapper is in good enough shape to use it again.
