I have maybe a few handfuls of Seated Liberty halves but admit I'm not the best at grading these .
Curious your thoughts on this? I like the clashing.
Not my photos

This particular example is 1877-CC WB-1, Type 1, Small CC.
This is the only use of this obverse die and only use of this reverse die in 1877.
Rarity - 5.
The above information is courtesy of Bill Bugert on the http://www.lsccweb.org/ website.
I would grade this at no higher than MS-62 because I can't see if there is luster in those photos. Very nice coin.

XF Cleaned. I personally would not straight grade a blast white circulated coin.
Suffering from bust half fever.

To me this coin does not look blast white though It is not my coin so I have not seen it in hand. It's straight graded and looks like it should be from what I can see

TPG AU50 market acceptable cleaning. I really like the cc, but I would pass.

The obverse has me faintly suspecting a cleaning, but the luster visible on the reverse makes me forget that. The wear pattern looks XF but the reverse still has some genuine AU gleam that looks completely original to me. XF45 wouldn't surprise but neither would AU50.

It's possible we're looking a coin that spent a couple of weeks in the pocket of someone engaged in sweaty labor.

By the way, I think in common usage "blast white" refers to the chrome-y gleam you get on some mint state silver, often Morgans. At least that's how I've understood the term for years.

I would guess EF40 or EF Details if PCGS grades it but XF45 for ANACS.

Late to the party on this one, but agree with XF-45. Nice!
