Hi,

I have been asked to identify this coin/token, and was wondering if I could please get some advice? I believe it to be a tourist token from the Diamond Quarter in Amsterdam. Would this be traded for souvenirs etc, and what would the value of it be roughly?

The coat of arms is I believe that of Amsterdam, and the reverse says 'Diamonds are Forever'. Has anyone else encountered these?

Many thanks

@rjh, first welcome to CCF. Second, that is a very interesting token you have there and not one that I can find in the usual places around the interwebs. You might try reaching out to the diamond museum in Amsterdam to see if this comes from their museum store:

With the inscriptions being in English, I suspect you're correct about it being a souvenir token from Amsterdam. Though I'm sure these were two of the places Spence checked, I went ahead and searched through Numista and tokencatalog.com and also found nothing.
