Just wondering if I have a couple of counterfeits here being that Kennedy half dollars of these years weigh 11.34 grams. Also they are of different size even between the two of them. I had about ten of the Kennedy's but these two stood out. Sound , texture and appearance. How do I tell if they are counterfeit

They are both normal with toning. They're real.
Errers and Varietys.

Okay just wondering because an app I have says that there are no 11.5 gram Kennedy half dollars. Unless it's an error or they are fake.

Quote: Okay just wondering because an app I have says that there are no 11.5 gram Kennedy half dollars. Unless it's an error or they are fake. According to a quick Google search, a 40% silver Kennedy half dollar 1965-1970 weighs 11.50 grams. A typical 1971-present Kennedy half dollar weighs 11.34 grams. Clad in cupro-nickel with a copper core. A 90% silver Kennedy 1964 half dollar weighs 12.5 grams. What years are your other Kennedy half dollar coins? That could explain the difference.
