I am new to the coin collecting community and have no idea the worth of any rare coins so I am asking if someone could please tell me the worth of this dime. The front is smushed in and smooth with the face and some of the outer rim having copper on it and the outer rim is so smushed in that you can't properly read the date and the writing is unreadable as well the back is also a bit smushed in on the torch I think and the outer rim is as well on the back but not to as much degree and the front Smushed-Dime-The-Date-Is-From-1900-S-Maybe-1980-S-And-It-Has-The-Letter-D-On-It

That's a very worn/damaged Roosevelt dime minted in Denver--as signified by the D mintmark. Worth 10 cents.

to the CFF, Jack! Unfortunately your dime is just damaged (PMD, or post-mint damage). It reminds me of this Lincoln Cent that I found in a parking lot.

It looks as though someone has ground the coin down, in order to cut right through the cupronickel cladding into the pure-copper core. It's probably well under the proper weight.

@jack, first welcome to CCF. Second, the third digit of the date looks like an 8 to me. The first dimes of this series to be clad were in 1965, so this coin cannot be older than that.
