Just got this nickel from the same seller with the 1891 Seated Liberty quarter. Same brown toning that I see in all this dealer's pictures. Common coin, but I think the surfaces are correct. High AU or possible MS. Hard to tell much from the screwy color of the pictures. Comments and grade?

Yeah, that ding is bothersome, but wasn't a deal breaker for me at the price I paid. Small rim ding on obverse at about 12:30 also, but insignificant to me. I paid EF money for it.

if you paid XF $$ for it I think you did ok. the ding wouldnt bother me either as it looks pretty shallow. I don't think its enough to details the coin

I'm still at AU58

that ding does not look like a hit. to me it appears to be a planchet flaw. your last photo did it for me, nice pickup
