Personal finances were kinda tight when I started collecting Barbers. There were (and still are, alas) stern spousal objections to any grand purchases. So it's perhaps less than outstanding. Not too bad, I hope.

61, maybe 62. Lots of obverse hits but a really nice reverse. Not seeing any wear. Strike softness in laurel behind ear and hair above brow. Otherwise has a nice strike with all obverse stars fully split.

if it wasnt for the strike would have called it a PR.

AU58 or MS62. I'm leaning towards the AU side.

But I will take the other side and say MS-62. I don't think the hits in the cap will take it to a 61 as they are not in a focal area.

Your "not too bad" would be one of the top coins in my collection. One man's floor is another man's ceiling! I think she's a beauty. MS63 wouldn't surprise me.

I wouldn't re-submit this one, for fear that that objective grade is MS62.
