Unfortunately, the Alexander the Great decadrachms from the "Gaza Hoard" remain at large, in the hands of people who unwittingly (or not) bought them from this unscrupulous cur of numismatics.
At least the article makes no mention of their repatriation.

This was the same guy with the Gold Eid Mar fake provenance.

I suspect that his business will not be in operation much longer.

The most amusing part of the article is where the guy made up a fake provenance for the gold EID MAR coin, saying it came from a certain collector... and that collector then contacted him and demanded he withdraw the fake provenance; he ignored the request and sold it with the fake provenance anyway.

Part of the problem with repatriating Gaza Hoard coins is... who to repatriate it to? The coins were found by Palestinians in Palestinian territory, but Britain does not recognize Palestine as a country, has no cultural repatriation agreement with the Palestinian Authority, and has specifically classified the Hamas government in Gaza as a terrorist organization so would be understandably reluctant to simply give them a valuable treasure. I don't think the Palestinians would be happy with seeing them "repatriated" to Israel, since they'd probably never end up back in Gaza if that happened.

It has been discussed here on CCF that the concept of repatriation is a bit murky when you are dealing with the artifacts of a large empire which were dispersed and used all over its territory, and the artifact is not found where it was made. It is a cultural artifact from a culture which has not existed for thousands of years.

Not to mention that the British are not great fans of repatriating artifacts acquired under dubious circumstances. Otherwise the British Museum would be an echo chamber.
