2003 D Quarter But All Silver ? 5.75 Grams

I can't explain the glow but it looks very bright aluminum type. Pictures are not able to capture the glow. It weight in at 5.75 grams. But I don't see any copper composition on the rim.

It's plated. Can't be silver.

Plating seems to be the most likely explanation. Is a strong magnet attracted to it?

It is most likely plated in silver or platinum. Considered PMD now.

Spence, which plating metal would attract a magnet to a clad coin?

Very doubtful that it is a silver State Quarter planchet, as those were 6.25g. So I agree with others that this coin was plated with something. Given the high reflectiveness, maybe it was chromed?
