Is this an error it's not a stain it's not dirt just got it when I went to the bank to cash a check.

What can I do to the coin to see if it's a stain or the cloud is missing I wipe it down with acetone what else can I do?

It's staining from environmental damage. Something must of gotten spilled on it.

Not missing clad. You can try soaking it in acetone. Hot water, soap and a toothbrush might work on "this" coin also.

Usually a missing clad coin will have the color of a cent on one side. Most have little or no wear because they pulled and saved as soon as they are seen. I have a couple of missing clad coins that are still red or red brown with lots of luster. They also show as being weakly struck due to the loss of thickness of the planchet.
