For the past 14+ years, jgfindring (who sadly has passed away) provided me coins from the USA in trade for UK coins that I could acquire.

I never questioned how he sourced the coins but now looking at the US Mint site, I am a bit puzzled.

The US Mint annual uncirculated set has most of the P/D coins for the years but to me it looks like it is missing the American Innovation Dollar coins, so how do people normally source one of each of these coins from the P and D mints each year?

How common are these in circulation?

A similar thing applies to the clad non-proof S mint marked American Women Quarters, how would one of each of be obtained?

Having this information will be useful for me putting together my thoughts so I can post a Want List in due course.

Many thanks.

American Innovative Dollar coins do not circulate at all in the US.
Zero, Zip Nada.

Americans in general have not accepted a dollar coin in circulation for decades. There is an occasional coin collector here and there who release some into circulation for fun and interest. They simply don't exist in the wild. Your best bet is the US Mint or 3rd party sellers.

Generally, the mint sells rolls and bags of NIFC coins. Dealers buy them, put the coins in 2x2s, and sell them at shows individually.

Yeah, B Strauss nailed this answer. That is how I get my P and D Innovations (from ebay) the proof and reverse proofs I get directly from the mint.

Thanks for the information.

What prices do you pay for the P/D American Innovation Dollars at shows or on ebay?

I buy my American Innovation coins from whatever ebay seller has them the cheapest (shipping included) and states that they come from ROLLS not bags. I generally have paid around $4 for the P/D pair.
The only difference was I bought P/D rolls for Ohio directly from the mint since that's where I live. I gave one to each of my coworkers. Now I'm stuck with 25+ $1 coins that nobody wants. I've been trickling them into circulation.

The golden dollars are found more often in big cities with transit systems because there they are often dispensed by fare machines as change.

Thanks for the information about the American Innovation Dollars.

What about the clad non-proof S American Women Quarters? What prices are these typically sold for?

Same thing - ebay I buy the S uncirculated quarter at the cheapest price I can find (from rolls only - not bags).
