BadThad Bedrock of the Community United States 19931 Posts	Posted 09/04/2023 02:52 am This weekend I decided to upgrade some of my storage components. Found stuff I forgot about like a 1957P/D mint set. I remember moving the coins out of the nasty mint cardboard because they were already toning. Moved them into these cheap holders and added a few layers of ziplocks and desiccant but no sacrificial coin (DOH!). Here we are a many years later and the coins continued to tone despite my efforts. However, I did get a really nice toned cent (in my favorite green) and dime out of the deal. Nothing like cherrypicking your own collection. Lincoln Cent Lover! Typical Midwest, hot in summer, freezing in winter. These are kept in my basement which has a pretty tight temp range....and of course, multiple layers.
