A fairly normal looking dime, but the area just to the left of the eye and mouth look to be remnants of a polished die clash. There's also remnants of clash marks just under and behind the portrait. The reverse shows a partial line from the forehead and nose in the olive branch.

Would you classify this a Late Die Stage or Very Late Die Stage?

Cool to see one of your overlay images, and then the real example!

Not sure how to separate LDS/VLDS. The radial flow lines on both sides are severe. The obverse looks worse, IGWT is eroding like wet sand. On the reverse, the holes in the A's are closing, but the O and D in ONE DIME still look entirely legible.

I'd say LDS. Pretty cool.

Me I do not see Die Clash, but I was never good on this.

For the stage yes I can state sure it is an VLDS with no doubt. Do was the last coin strike with this Die? perhaps.

With all the severe die flow lines and weakness of details I'm in agreement with Siviosi about this being a VLDS coin.

The part of the reverse clash that stands out the strongest to me is the line going SSE off the base of the left branch.

I'm not really seeing a clash either (unless the die was rotated a little.) The forehead should show up a bit lower on the reverse at the end on the olive branch (according to your over lay)
However, the dies here are very worn and tired - I'll go with VLDS.

I'm certainly on board with the very late die state. Nice example.

Here's an image with the areas marked to show what looks like clash marks to me. Each one is raised above the surrounding fields. @Dearborn... I think it's not as much rotated as it is misaligned.

This coin's die stage shows just how far the mint is (was?) willing to push the dies beyond their working life.

Thanks for all of the replies! I'm trying to build a database of my collection with new detailed images, and I'll include your observations in the notes section.
