While doing a little roll hunting tonight I came across this 2020P covered in some type of gummy crud. Not very carefully, I worked to remove the crud from the coin so it would stack nicely in the spender pile. After a better look through my scope just for kicks, I noticed that there appears to be a doubled die double ear error on this coin! I'm a little disappointed because my carelessness left some scratches on the obverse, but none the less, would you guys please verify that this is indeed a doubled ear doubled die error? I can't find anything on this on Wexler's, so I have yet to verify exactly what this coin is, if anything. Still fairly new to this wonderful hobby so any advice or input is appreciated.

Also, still working on my picture quality, but I believe these are atleast good enough to see what I'm asking about. Thanks in advance!

Some help I was glad to find out many, many moons ago...

You can always find whether you have a doubled die or not by comparing the pics found at varietyvista.com

That does look like the Double Ear error for this year and several other years around there!
Might just be for the Denver minted coins though. Check it on websites listed above for confirmation.

If not a plating issue, I'd think it has Doubled Die potential. Thanks, Doug.

Edit: Though I don't currently see it as such, but need to rule out Machine Doubling as well.
