I saw some examples also for others years with same design of lines. For 2022 I saw a few. Me I think that could be Working Hub polishing scratches What do you think? Dearborn Moderator United States 94728 Posts	Posted 09/15/2023 7:30 pm I think FFD, the striations are all perpendicular to each other and are only on the high points of the die. Whether vertical or horizontal, there HAS to be a mechanism to push in planchets and push out struck coins. I cannot see a planchet just falling into place perfectly every time without assistance of some kind. I'm going to stick with FFD. Collecting since 1972. Learning from then on "Tell me and I forget. silviosi Pillar of the Community Canada 6244 Posts	Posted 09/15/2023 7:53 pm Dear you are wright about an mechanism to push out the coins from the collars band. they are like small pistons with relative soft kind of rubber and every second coin strike is push out of the collar. I do not see this piston could made this. At one point I put here a photo of the polish die lines when they cancel a Die and the lines on this coin fit the marks. This it is my reason to believe if is the Working Hub polish lines. Others examples I saw 2022 the lines was in the same place. Will be almost impossible an feeder finger will let traces on multiple coins on same place and also an feeder finger damaged will not be use for two coins strikes. Also the back lines behind the ear and the begin of the 2022 are not parallel and no feeder finger will be so large on the sides. How would that be posable? Polishing lines are from humans polishing the dies by hand. There is no way they would be the same year after year. It's more believable that the feeder fingers damaged the die every year the same way, As their motion is the same for every year. Report this Post to the Staff
