Interesting piece I got on an impulse buy. Solid 22K miniature St Gaudens Gold replica by the "Columbia Mint", circa 1979. Abt 3/8 inches and 0.8 Grams. Sigma'd at 22k, and so marked on the edge. Though I (and likely most of us) have seen these miniatures of either St Gaudens or Krugerrands, any others I've encountered are crudely made and a very low karatage (usually 8k or 10k, occasionally 14k). An old advert flyer mentioned "22k being the same standard as the original Double Eagle", so clearly they didn't know the difference between 0.900 and 0.917. Interestingly the AGW would make this an exact Half Dollar on the old pre-1933 Standard. Curious if you guys have more info or context, I only paid straight spot for it, so I won't be offended at harsher criticism.

PS. Not 100% sure if I posted this in the right thread.

That is an interesting piece and glad you confirmed the gold content. Here are links to a couple prior threads about them:

The ones I have seen are quite a bit lower in quality, karat, and weight.

Gold at spot is always a good buy! It's great you confirmed gold content with a Sigma.
