I don't think this is an accented hair Kennedy. What say you all? To me the obverse is wrong as well as it has an RDV-002 reverse. The NGC coin lookup shows this coin under that number. Did NGC get it wrong? Heres the link to it.

Something's not adding up here. I looked up that variety and the reverse is supposed to have broken rays and stuff.

@Errers and Varietys, I think they got it wrong on this one. Nice Kennedy but it's not an accented hair.

The essay in my signature shows at least a 30% error by PCGS assigning the No FG Kennedy half. In my experience I have found it easy to find ANACS and NGC slabs also wrongly attributed. Read it for a real eye opener on the lack of ability/trustworthiness they have in this area.

Therefore it is never surprising to me when I see a wrongly attributed slab such as this.

How much squash could a Sasquatch squash if a Sasquatch would squash squash?

Time for more research on this subject - never heard about the 'broken rays' being attributed to AH halves.

@Dearborn all the Accented Hair Kennedies have the RDV-001 reverse which is the type one or earliest reverse, which has the straight G and broken rays and lathe lines. (Coop taught me about the lathe lines) I believe the SMS Kennedies and some of the non-accented hair "Transitional" Kennedies had the RDV-001 reverse as well but in fewer numbers. I don't think an ODV-001 accented hair obverse has ever been found to be paired with the RDV-002 reverse. That would be an awesome find!

I've found 3 of them. Kind of strange when I found the first one, thought I had discovered something. Ya the other way would be a discovery.

ODV-002, RDV002. Yep, they got it dead wrong. @Cujohn, I have three Philly versions with the RDV-001 business strike and 22 Denver versions with the RDV-001. If the mint ever discloses they made the mistake of sending the Proof reverses to Denver I will be sitting pretty.

I didn't realize it was on the Business strikes. Just what I need, another one to look for.
