Not sure why people are even humoring this. There's no such thing as a 1964 SMS in the wild. All the ones known to exist were purchased at Eva Adams' estate sale and are accounted for.

I see a circulated business strike Lincoln Cent, nothing about that coin suggests is from a SMS.

I here you Nick10, But as I am here with the coin and have used a microscope many times,I can only say I am confident. The front of the coin alone,in person ,marker by marker,spot on. Regardless, it will be taken to the PCGS Nashville coin show. Oct.26th for final evaluation.I do appreciate the comments that entertained an open opinion. !

On one last Note, I cannot deny the evidence in front of me. It found its way to me, and it would be an injustice. I will post an update on the 28th if anyone is interested in it's destiny. Thanks all.Have a great Saturday#129761;

I am inserting a copy of a paragraph from a bio on this. Are you saying all fifty sets are confirmed or do they know exactly how many sets went to the coin dealer? If there is no possibility of uncertainty of number of sets. How can. It be certain all are accounted for. And actually you have a point!. If so, wouldn't the highly experienced forum members all say the same thing? I had a bedrock of the community ask for more pictures, and it probably isn't but he could be wrong, wouldn't you all as an unbelievable amount of talent in this difficult and excruciating, time consuming world,already know this? That's the confusing part. Is it an estimate of accounted sets, or a documented record the exact number that were transfered in the sale. ? The debate on this extraordinary in itself,agree? Copied text below: With no mintage records, one can only use grading service population reports and instinct to estimate the population, but these coins continue to be rare. Most estimates place the mintage of 1964 SMS sets at 15 to 50 sets.

way over processed and pixelated images are proving to be difficult to analyze your coin. So I"ll wait to see that the grading offers.

Keep on mind all sms pennies found are uncirculated. This is a found circulated coin in 2006. I had in possession. This is pretty much a ghost coin idea. But if there is no documentation on exact sets made and passed down,in a hypothetical situation, one could get broken open by the ol grandkids,and off into the circulated world it went. Yrs this would be the 50 billion dollar lotto ticket. I'm aware. PCGS will be on hand to help. I trust them and they will straight shooting. It's all good.

I. So sorry I am trying unbelievably hard to show these delicate markers with the use of a smart phone microscope. I need the big guys down at the PCGS show. Three weeks and counting!

Good Luck with identifying your coin. The first thing I would have looked for was the distinct Satin Finish of the known "SMS" coins. That's something that I don't think can be mistaken!

Thank you sir! It is quite a special coin Ive know since 2006 as I have over 200 1964 P cents.lol. I'm obsessed. It stood out because of the Mirrored Lincoln ,the heavy vertical grading on the obverse but yet so smooth its like butter.. pretty darn cool. Always has been. Kind of like a hybrid Philadelphia cross bred with a proof. Lol
