Hey guys! Been a while since I've been active here. Looks like I'm not the only one who gobbled up some of the uncut sheets that went on sale 10/1 (almost all of the options are sold out now). I picked up some $2 and $10 to go along with the $1 and $5 I already had.

I'm just looking at some options for display that also preserves the condition of the notes. I just can't stand keeping them hidden away in their tubes.

Back in the past when the BEP sold their products separately from the U.S. Mint website, they actually had a hanging acrylic frame that you could get. I don't see them (or anyone) selling these anymore.

I've attached a picture of the acrylic frame so you guys know what I'm taking about and discuss if it's even a good option. I'm assuming it provides protection from UV light (I can't remember) but it doesn't provide an "air tight" seal. It basically curves around at the bottom like a 'u' shape and is only fastened at the top thus leaving a small gap along the sides.

I've also attached a picture of a basic glass picture frame I have that I'm assuming is just regular glass and not UV resistant but provides little more protection from outside air.

Does anyone know how much any of this matters in the grand scheme of things? What is the "best" option for protecting the notes while being able to display on a wall?

I bought one of those BEP hanging acrylic frames for a 32-subject sheet of $1 notes many years ago. I remember it being both expensive and heavy. It cost more than the sheet hanging in the frame and it provided zero ultraviolet protection against fading.

I've used Itoya Archival Art portfolio albums for both 4-subject and 8-subject sheets and I would highly recommend them.

My 50-subject frame, which I posted in a thread recently was purchased online from a custom frame website. It's light and fairly inexpensive but also provides zero ultraviolet light protection. I have several large size Tampa Nationals framed behind Museum Glass, but that was very expensive.

I like that hanging acrylic idea. Do they make UV blocking acrylic? If so,you could get two flat sheets of it and sandwich the notes using plastic screws , that would be a bit more airtight.
I know they make UV blocking glass, that could be another route.

I went to purchase a "made for" 16 uncut sheet frame but the price was more than the uncut sheet. I ended up going to Goodwill and purchase a frame and artwork for $5. I discarded the artwork and ...

Hey Steve do you remove the black insert paper that comes with these albums? I kind of like being able to see the backs of the sheets but the paper might give them a little more support in there.

Thanks guys for the recommendations!

I left the archival-safe black sheets in place, mostly because I had so many sheets that it enabled me to put two sheets back to back in each page.
