To CCF! It's heat damage. PMD. Also, coins are struck, not printed.

First, welcome to CCF. Second, yes this dime has been exposed to high heat at some point. That makes this damage rather than a mint error.

So what does that mean? That when it was struck it got heat damage at the same time? Is it worth anything?

No sorry it didn't leave the mint looking like this. Rather someone checked it in a campfire or something similar. It is only worth face value.

Unable to fully evaluate because your photos are overmagnified beyond the 800x800 pixels the board recommends. Please use a size of 800x800 or so because that tends to make a sharper image, and works with more equipment which allows more members to participate.

Appears to be heat related damage.

No, heat was applied long after it left the mint, could have been in a fire or somebody playing with fire and 'cooked' it. The heat separated the cladding from the copper core.

Quote: So what does that mean? That when it was struck it got heat damage at the same time? Is it worth anything? What I meant is it happened after it left the U.S. Mint. It happened after it was struck. This is impossible to happen at the Mint. Unfortunately, it's only worth face value, since it's just damaged.
