I have a memory of reading somewhere about a 1793 Chain Cent that was graded as full red. Does anyone know if this is true?

Thanks.

All I can tell you is that a search of the PCGS site shows the top pop chain cent is graded MS-65 RB and is valued at 1.1 million.

Couldn't resist adding a pic of the coin mentioned by @kbb to the thread. Hard to imagine there is one even better preserved!

Thanks for all the replies and the photo. I guess my memory was not right.

I did see a full red Draped Bust Large Cent as part of the Tyrant Collection at the ANA show in Chicago in 2021. That was gorgeous.
