Greetings all! I'm looking for assistance with grading these 4 gold coins. They haven't been out of their holders since 1986 at the latest. So I just wanted to be sure the recommendation is to remove them for the forum to see closeups. Thanks, NH

One coin at a time please. Remove from holder and provide large clear pictures of both obverse and reverse per coin. We will be glad to help you with a grade.

If you don't have access to good equipment that will assist you, photograph in direct sunlight at an angle.
Original pics not good enough to use for grading.

We'll need much better pictures, in order to help you grade them. One coin at a time and a close up of the obverse and reverse.
Errers and Varietys.

Also may I suggest that given the vast amounts of counterfeit coins in the marketplace these days, an accurate weight, diameter and thickness would be most helpful as well while the coins are removed from their holders.

Same. Large pics of both sides of each coin outside the holders, one per thread please.

if you are using a phone
1. if coin is in holder, remove coin from holder if possible 2. turn off flash 3. place coin on flat surface with indirect natural light. maybe a window sill in a cloudy day. Use a black or white background to avoid any reflective color 4. move phone about 3in from coin 5. zoom in using your fingers until the coin comes into focus and fills the cameras view finder. if your phone has a portrait selection use that and then press and hold on the coin in the view finder to AF lock it 6. hold phone steady. if you can't then place something on either side of the coin (like books) at that distance and lay phone between them. this will hold it steady and allow you to zoom and take the photo without any blurring

OK, I'm trying here. Coin #1 looks like a 1905 S $10 liberty. Here's the obverse.

Sorry I just figure out how to upload more than 1 image. Here's an 1897 $5 liberty, obverse and reverse.
