I feel like I'm splitting hairs here. Better than VF-35 but not quite enough for XF-40. I guess I would say VF-35+ or to get technical VF-38. TV pics are terrible. the darkness of the coin shows the points of wear easily on the obverse but the patina hides some of the wear on the reverse.

I originally thought VF(30), but now I'm thinking VF(35). I see just a little too much wear to be EF(40).

Looks like a 40 to me. You seem to have impeccable taste in coins and a talent for imaging them. Really enjoy the coins you've been sharing.

Congrats, nice example of a tough date. Though I graded it 40 from experience, I truthfully agree with those who said 35.
