I've had this coin for at least a decade, purchased from local dealer along with several other similar era coins.

Wondering if it would be worth sending to CONECA?

NPMTM = Nefarious Post Mint Tooling Marks.

It's in the title folks, use your noggin.

The dealer I purchased the coins from was very reputable (has since retired) this coin was among several other coins, 3cSilver Ch AU++ maybe Unc, A superb 1858 F.E., several half dimes(capped bust, seated one was ch AU+). Several dimes capped, seated and Barbers.
There were several large cents and a few 1/200 cents. Also Capped, Seated 25c and halves.

He was from Iowa, went home for a visit and came back with them and I just happened to be the first to see them.

Such an obvious alteration that it's hardly worth discussing.

I wonder if the person who tooled off the arrows had any idea how they would tool off the rays too. What a shame to deliberately damage a coin like this.
