Circulated and heavily cleaned. I figure any Wheat cent is worth a couple cents, but that is about it.

Yes too bad that it was cleaned/polished at one point.

I remember when I was a kid trying to clean a few old cents with a pencil eraser. It looks like that's what happened here.

Ouch - this coin is horribly cleaned, and similar to others you have shown us.

Do you have any other USA coins that might be in collector state?

Must agree, you seem to have accumulated a lot of problem coins.

Looks like some got excited by the 1944 no mint mark! craze.

A quick check of ebay shows 972 of them for sale. It's an easy $1000 coin... At least according to quick internet searches. Just type "1944 no mint Wheat penny value" into google and scroll down the page and look at the values!

This is what a neophyte sees when they do their first coin value search. The quick google search has replaced the Red Book for people new to the hobby.

As for the OP, she last visited the day she asked the question. Probably never to return to this site full of people who Obviously know nothing about coins (damnit google says it's worth a grand)

Well Gee, I accidently put a no mint mark 1944 cent into my Dansco album - right in the hole marked "1944". I'm so happy now that my album value went up a grand.. (Sings: "I'm in the money, I'm in the money")
