I've been collecting coin books over they years and buying coin books at thrift stores as I find them. Have bought a few new but was wanting to know people's favorite reads that seem to be a go to read over and over book? I tend to keep towards US coin books because that's the topic to covers my hobby the best

@nic, I understand that you are mainly asking about books specific to US coins, but I think this thread best belongs over here in this sub-forum instead.

I keep a copy of Guidebook of Barber Silver Coins handy because that's what I'm currently into. Also have several editions of Charlton Canadian coin guides. I wouldn't say that I read them over and over though. I have a Kindle version of Cherrypickers 5th edition I refer to occasionally, and a few references that are online (David Lawrence books).

I actually have a copy for Bad metal copper&nickel very good read and I've referenced it often. Might have to add the silver 3cS to 25¢ copy to my book collection.

Over the years I've added a few barbers to my collection. I myself don't have a lot of silver in my collection but have noticed barbers are pretty easier to find might need to get a copy of this book and read up on them more. As for the cherry pickers 5th edition I did find a copy that was the 4th edition a few months ago for $2 at a thrift store and picked it up. Definitely recommend to read and have a copy
