I've a penny folder I'm working on. I Also have a small hoard of all copper cents. In addition, I'm trying to assemble a continuous date of die cracks and other anomalies. I would like to collect key/semi-key dates but have yet to find even one.

We've talked about the benefits and detriments of hoarding copper a few times previously, but it is a fun discussion. I personally don't stack copper cents.

I have a Lincoln Cent collection that I'm quite proud of. I separate the wheats and memorials by date only (my rolls are mixed mint marks). I had my 2 Grand daughters start their own Lincoln Whitmans books.

Wheat cents - spot check for date, otherwise all go into a Wheat cent only bag
Copper cents - don't separate them anymore (used to, but found the weight to be an issue when I got to a certain point)

A friend of mine has amassed a large copper cent hoard. I won't say the exact amount but let's just say he has to space them out in his basement to keep the foundation from cracking. It's a nice little amount in terms of face value, but the practicality of it doesn't seem to be there currently IMO.

I'm with the Frog on this one. I'll check Wheaties for key dates - but I've never found one. So I just spend them all.

Hoarded them for awhile but eventually ended up dumping them. However, if I find one in exceptional condition.... I will keep it.

Since we don't have them minted up here any more, none in circulation

I've been saving wheats for a couple decades, the commons I could sell today for at least 200% profit at LCS. Just recently started setting all coppers aside.
